Good morning! Wuhan has welcomed its first snow of 2026—

Before sending the kids to school, I spent about ten minutes playing with him in the yard, scribbling on the ground, casually making a few small snowmen, and having a snowball fight.

Snow on the child's hat, snow on the eyelashes, rosy cheeks, but he doesn't care at all. The more he plays, the happier he gets. In the end—unsurprisingly—he was late. 😂

Suddenly, I understand a little why many adults are getting more and more exhausted:

The adult world is always about maximizing efficiency, but children don't need that. Snow is just snow, cold is just cold, and having fun is enough.

This kind of happiness that doesn't need explanation is precisely something that many people spend a lifetime trying to buy back later.

And what can truly counter long-term exhaustion are often these moments that seem completely useless and pointless at the time, but have truly existed!
