Recently, I have been experimenting with some projects on Perp-DEX and prediction markets, and I discovered an interesting issue. These types of projects are completely different from the testnet phase — it's like opening a store with real money, but having to pay rent and electricity bills every day, yet never seeing any profit. It feels a bit like working for the landlord, with the cost pressure clearly there.

Faced with this situation, the idea is simple: first, control costs well, follow the rhythm of leading projects, learn as you go, and the key is not to fall behind. This way, even if there are no short-term returns, you can accumulate experience amid market fluctuations. When the project truly establishes a viable business model, your understanding and operations will already be mature.

Haha, really, the testnet and mainnet are completely different worlds. The money-burning mode is now active. --- The analogy of working for the landlord is spot on. Many perp projects are just like this. --- Cost control is the key. Don't be fooled by concepts and waste money blindly. --- Following the rhythm of the top players is still the safest move. Anyway, everyone has to pay tuition fees. --- It's normal not to see short-term gains, the key is not to exit prematurely. --- It feels like everyone is waiting for the moment when the business model takes off. Exiting early would be a huge loss. --- Your mindset is correct. Most people have already lost everything. --- Forget about cost pressure; you also have to bet on the right direction, which makes the difficulty skyrocket.

There's nothing wrong with that, but reality is always more painful than the testnet. However, following the leading projects is indeed a safe move to avoid pitfalls.

Ha, so that's the difference between testnet and mainnet. You only know the pain when you go live. Following the leaders is the right move, but I'm just worried that the project might cool down before we can control the costs. Wait, you're talking about gaining experience... Can we survive this wave until the business model is up and running? Losing money has become a habit. Anyway, we're all burning cash, so why not participate in a few more top-tier activities? This mindset is quite calm. I'm still debating whether to keep losing money. The cost pressure is indeed tough, but I guess that's the price of the mainnet.

Working for the landlord is true 😅 I'm doing it right now, burning money every day and paying a lot of tuition fees.
