What Is Order Block?

An Order Block (OB) is a zone on the chart where institutions place large buy or sell orders causing a strong move in price. It’s usually the last bullish candle before a big drop (bearish OB) or the last bearish candle before a big rally (bullish OB). Price often returns to this zone to mitigate orders, making it a high probability areas for entries when aligned with trend, liquidity, and structure.
You need to note that the higher the timeframe, the stronger the OB. If you use 1m to 30m TF, they might not work as 1h to a Day TF.

How to know if the OB is strong

1. Strong displacement: an OB without strong displacement might work but the chances are slim.

2. Break of Structure after the OB.

3. Unmitigated: an OB cannot be used twice, it can only be used once.

4. Clean reactions on mitigation.
