Ripple's stablecoin RLUSD has been approved for use in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). Along with USDC and EURC, it becomes one of the only three compliant stablecoins recognized by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) that can be used within the DIFC. The new regulatory framework will review individual tokens and transform them into a set of eligibility criteria, excluding algorithmic stablecoins and non-collateralized stablecoins, while introducing stricter controls over the broader cryptocurrency market.
