Cable One Inc. (CABO) has announced a significant leadership transition, with James Holanda set to take the helm as Chief Executive Officer starting no later than March 31, 2026. Holanda will also join the company’s Board of Directors, taking over from Julia Laulis, who has retired from her positions as Chair, President, and Chief Executive Officer.
With over 35 years of industry expertise in cable and broadband operations, Holanda brings substantial experience to the role. Most notably, he spent the last 15 years as Chief Executive Officer of Astound Broadband, establishing himself as a seasoned leader in the sector. His career trajectory also includes serving as CEO of Choice Cable TV of Puerto Rico and President of Patriot Media in Central New Jersey. He began his professional journey at Comcast, where he spent a decade, before moving to Charter Communications for five years, where he held various positions spanning accounting, finance, business operations, and strategic planning.
During the transition period before Holanda assumes his position, Todd M. Koetje, the company’s Chief Financial Officer, will serve as Interim Chief Executive Officer to ensure continuity in leadership and operations.
Complementing this executive change, Mary E. Meduski has been elected to serve as the Independent Chair of the Board, a role taking effect on January 1, 2026. Meduski’s appointment marks an important milestone in her tenure with Cable One—she has been a Board member since 2019 and most recently held the position of Lead Independent Director. Her election reflects the Board’s confidence in her leadership and her deep understanding of the company’s strategic direction.
The leadership restructuring underscores Cable One’s commitment to maintaining strong governance and operational excellence during this transition period.
