Sometimes, the biggest gap between people is just one word: do.

I started trading in the crypto market by participating in DeFi liquidity mining, which felt quite innovative; later, I heard that YFI helped a group of people achieve financial freedom. At that time, I knew nothing, not even what the little fox wallet looked like, and I had never heard of impermanent loss. But even so, I blindly connected my wallet and started operating. As a result, I lost 50% in the first two months.

Interestingly, I first heard about Bitcoin in 2016. Looking back, from then until now, how many people missed countless opportunities? The reason is nothing more than overthinking and doing too little. That’s where the gap lies.

I really appreciate this kind of sincere honesty, daring to admit a 50% loss—that's the kind of attitude a Web3 person should have. --- Exactly right, you just need to do it, but the premise is not to do it blindly. Some people’s results are directly zero. --- I missed Bitcoin in 2016 and still regret it now, haha, but at least there is DeFi now. --- I was clueless, just started using my wallet right after connecting it. This guy really has guts. I studied wallets for three months back then and didn’t dare to use them. --- The lessons learned from paying 50% in tuition are worth it, better than always watching from the sidelines. --- I remember, so many people said liquidity mining was a free lunch back then. Now? It’s all turned into traps. --- The key is that they are still doing it now—that’s hardcore. Not just giving up after a single loss.

First, is that 50% really a loss or just an unrealized paper loss... details are very important. Thinking too much and doing too little is not wrong, but the people who actually make money are the ones who are blindly guessing correctly. Heard about Bitcoin in 2016? I was paying attention as early as 2014 but hadn't started buying yet. It's pointless to say that now. This kind of "just do it" attitude is dangerous. Many beginners have gone all-in directly because of this kind of talk. Your experience is actually a typical survivor bias; those who lose 50% and still dare to talk reason are just lucky.

Bro, losing 50% this time is just tuition. I was doing the same back then. DeFi was really a gambler's mindset back then, rushing in without understanding anything. Thinking about those who missed Bitcoin in 2016, it's all in vain to regret now. Basically, it's about execution. Most people are still researching while the coin has already skyrocketed. This story sounds good, but it easily makes people overlook the importance of risk management. Those who truly make money are the ones who learn and do at the same time. But losing half definitely hurts. How did I turn things around later?

Uh, losing 50% in the past two months and still continuing to play, this mentality is really tough. --- Honestly, I heard about BTC back in 2016 many times, but the key is who actually got on board. --- I just want to know what happened later, whether they made up for the loss or lost even more. --- Doing it cluelessly, sometimes you end up making money; those who overthink are still watching K-line charts now. --- The word "do" sounds easy, but how many can really stick with it? --- Unpredictable losses? My buddy definitely didn't calculate this at the time, haha. --- That wave of DeFi was indeed crazy. Are people still mining now? --- That's why I now jump on opportunities as soon as I see them; anyway, I've already lost before.
