CoinVoice has learned that, according to The Block, Whale Alert data shows that Tether has frozen over 182 million USDT across five wallet addresses on the Tron blockchain. These freezing actions all occurred on the same day, with wallet balances ranging from approximately 12 million USD to 50 million USD.
This coordinated action is one of the larger single-day wallet restriction measures recently disclosed on the Tron blockchain. The blacklisting of wallets aligns with Tether's voluntary wallet freezing policy officially launched in December 2023, which aims to comply with the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control's Specially Designated Nationals list.
