A major exchange's task mechanism has recently been adjusted, and the era of free participation is indeed changing. Now there's an additional 5-point deduction, making the calculations less straightforward.

Based on recent transaction score boosting activities, let's roughly estimate the costs. Conservatively referencing the ratios of 15 points for 2u, 16 points for 4u, and 17 points for 8u, but in reality, using more stable 4x coins for boosting results in lower costs—approximately 15 points for 1.7u, 16 points for 3.4u, and 17 points for 6.8u.

For example, if you have a 10,000u account with an original balance of 3 points. During a 15-day cycle, you boost to 15 points for the first 13 days, then to 16 points for the last 2 days. Now, with the additional 5 points requirement, it means that within the original 13 days, you need to find an extra 5 days to boost to 16 points. Conservatively estimating, this adds about 2u per day, totaling 10u over 5 days. Compared to airdrop rewards, the gross profit of this Booster shouldn't be less than 10u; otherwise, it would be a reverse profit.

If you are already boosting to 16 points throughout the entire cycle, adding 5 points makes it even more difficult—costs increase by about 4u per day, totaling around 20u over 5 days.

How to break this deadlock? The first idea is to use these 5 points after completing a certain cycle’s last airdrop, as the remaining points usually aren't enough to participate in the next round—essentially an additional low-threshold airdrop. But this affects the reward speed in the next cycle, and if the task is limited, it might be gone in a day. The second idea is to seize the opportunity of limited-time Alpha tasks, which can grant 5 points, but their frequency is irregular; sometimes neither Booster nor Alpha is available, making it awkward.

Overall, this reform indeed increases the difficulty for studios to participate. It might extend the quota duration or improve the chance of winning, but for early users like us, the increased costs are visible, while the benefits are uncertain. Judging from the situation, it’s unlikely to lose money, but the expected returns are definitely suppressed.

Here comes another pump and dump, losing over ten U's in five minutes. This calculation just doesn't add up at all.

Here comes another round of cutting leeks; if I had known earlier, I wouldn't have played.

Here comes the harvest again, doubling the cost in just 5 minutes. This deal is becoming less and less worthwhile.

Here comes the pump and dump again; might as well just kill the free era outright.
