【CoinPost】A seasoned investor recently summarized three legendary figures in the crypto investment circle.
Topping the list is Kyle Samani, founder of Multicoin Capital. He was an early participant in Solana’s seed round investment, and the subsequent returns are well-known. Even more impressive, during the FTX collapse, he didn’t panic and sell like many others, but instead remained optimistic about the space. This contrarian mindset and courage are truly admirable.
The second is Chris Dixon from a leading crypto investment firm. His strength lies in promoting the investment logic of crypto and Web3 early on within Silicon Valley and the institutional investor circles. Two major funding rounds he led—Series B for a top exchange platform and Series A for a leading DEX—have become textbook cases.
The third is Dan Robinson from Paradigm. His resume is legendary: he was deeply involved in building a top DEX from the earliest days, co-authoring and contributing to the V3 version; he was also a core figure in Flashbots, directly driving the formation of the modern MEV auction system; he participated early in Plasma (the predecessor of modern Rollup technology) research, leading to his seed investment in Optimism.
What do these three have in common? Sharp vision, bold moves, and exceptional ability to grasp technological trends. They have not only made money but also shaped the entire Web3 investment landscape.

Kyle Samani's moves are really top-notch. He got in early on Solana, and even after the FTX explosion, he still dares to buy the dip. Not everyone has that mental resilience.

Kyle Samani's moves on Solana are indeed aggressive, but honestly, it's a bit late to praise these early gamblers now. The key is whether they can continue to make the right bets moving forward.

Kyle Samani's wave of buying the dip on Solana indeed worked, but I think the truly impressive part is FTX's mentality of not cutting losses during that wave. That's the key to making big money.

kyle samani calling solana early is one thing, but holding through ftx? that's when you know who's actually battle-tested vs just lucky. most validators would've panicked and nuked their stake positions... respect the conviction there ngl

This guy Kyle is really tough. He got into Solana during the seed round, and he hasn't run even after the FTX explosion... You have to have a really strong mindset to handle that... But honestly, people with money to throw around find "contrarian thinking" easier, we don't have that capital haha

Kyle Samani's move on Solana was truly brilliant. Staying calm despite FTX's collapse shows what it means to be a true VC elite.

Kyle Samani's move in the Solana seed round was indeed bold, but to be honest, I remained optimistic during the FTX collapse... That takes a lot of guts. There's no way I could do that, haha.
