Many people keep asking: why does the ruling party and the structures of criminality in Nigeria appear so uncomfortable whenever the name H.E. @PeterObi comes up?

Is it simply because of what was obvious in 2023, or are there deeper issues they would rather not openly address?

Peter Obi represents a different political culture from what Nigerians have grown used to. As a former Governor of Anambra State, his record consistently highlights fiscal discipline, prudent management of public funds, and a results-driven leadership style. Unlike the norm where governance is often associated with excessive borrowing and waste, Obi left office with savings, minimal debt, and measurable investments in education, health, and infrastructure.

Beyond his time in office, Peter Obi’s influence lies in his credibility and personal consistency. He is widely perceived as a leader whose lifestyle aligns with his public message: modesty, accountability, and service, rather than flamboyance and entitlement. This authenticity has earned him trust, especially among young Nigerians, professionals, and citizens who feel alienated by traditional politics.

Another key factor is his ability to mobilize citizens outside the usual political structures. The Obidient movement showed that Nigerians can organize around ideas, competence, and integrity, not just party machinery, money politics, or ethnic sentiment. That shift alone poses a serious challenge to an establishment that thrives on voter apathy and political dependency.

His recent welcome by the ADC party further reinforces one important point: Peter Obi’s relevance transcends party lines. He has become a symbol of issue-based politics, economic productivity, human capital development, and governance anchored on data and accountability. For a political system accustomed to transactional loyalty, this kind of influence is unsettling.

In reality, the concern is not fear of a man, but fear of what he represents:

- A political awakening among citizens
- Higher expectations for leadership
- Reduced tolerance for waste, propaganda, and recycled narratives.

Peter Obi’s presence consistently reminds Nigerians that good governance is possible, and that is a powerful disruption to the status quo.

Whether one supports him or not, understanding this context is important. Politics should not be about blind loyalty, but about ideas, records, and the future we want to build.

All I ask of @inecnigeria, as the impartial umpire it claims to be, is to conduct a credible, free, and fair election in 2027.
If the process truly reflects the will of the people, the outcome will speak for itself.

Sir welcome to the African Democratic Congress (ADC)

We believe that a new Nigeria is POssible with you.

IT HAS BEGUN ALREADY!!!

Happy New Year

Shalom 🙏
