Electric vehicle manufacturer Mullen Automotive has secured NASDAQ approval for a significant corporate restructuring, transitioning to a new corporate identity as Bollinger Innovations, Inc. under the trading symbol BINI. The official effective date for the company name and stock symbol transition is still being finalized.
Strategic Expansion in Southern California
The rebranding initiative coincides with a major retail and commercial hub launch. The company is opening a rebranded Commercial Vehicle Center in Oceanside, California, slated for August 15, 2025. The location, positioned strategically just off Interstate 5 in the Southern California region, sits on the northern edge of San Diego County near Camp Pendleton military base. This geographic positioning enables businesses across the San Diego area to easily access the facility, explore commercial EV inventory, conduct test drives, and complete purchases.
David Michery, CEO and chairman of both Bollinger Innovations and Bollinger Motors, emphasized the momentum: “The consolidated company is advancing rapidly with a robust commercial vehicle portfolio spanning Class 1, 3, and 4 categories.”
Commercial Electric Vehicle Lineup
The company’s commercial EV offerings include:
Mullen ONE — A Class 1 electric cargo van engineered for last-mile urban delivery operations. The vehicle holds full compliance with U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, EPA certifications, and California Air Resources Board (CARB) standards for emissions compliance. Currently available for purchase.
Mullen THREE — A Class 3 electric cab chassis truck designed specifically for urban delivery and commercial operations. Like the ONE, it meets all federal and state regulatory requirements and is available for immediate sale.
Bollinger B4 Chassis Cab — An all-new Class 4 commercial truck built with input from fleet operators and upfitters. The vehicle features a proprietary Quad-Bend chassis architecture that protects the 158-kWh battery system while maximizing capability and maneuverability. Performance specs include a 185-mile driving range, 46-foot turning radius, and 7,325-pound payload capacity—making it suitable for diverse urban commercial applications.
Production and Distribution Network
Mullen operates a manufacturing facility in Tunica, Mississippi (120,000 square feet), with commercial vehicle production underway since August 2023. The company has established a dealer network of seven authorized partners—Papé Kenworth, Pritchard EV, National Auto Fleet Group, Ziegler Truck Group, Range Truck Group, Eco Auto, and Randy Marion Auto Group—providing sales and service coverage across West Coast, Midwest, Pacific Northwest, New England, and Mid-Atlantic regions.
Bollinger Motors, a majority-owned subsidiary since September 2022, launched B4 Class 4 truck production on September 16, 2024, and has developed a nationwide dealer network exceeding 50 locations for comprehensive sales and service support.
