Amplitude Names Thomas Hansen as First President to Lead Strategic Growth

Amplitude Inc. (Nasdaq: AMPL) has announced Thomas Hansen as its inaugural President, marking a significant leadership expansion for the digital optimization software pioneer. Hansen, who brings nearly three decades of enterprise leadership experience, will assume responsibility for steering the company’s go-to-market organization across all key functions.

Strategic Leadership Addition

In his new role, Thomas Hansen will direct Amplitude’s entire revenue-generating ecosystem—encompassing sales operations, customer success teams, global marketing initiatives, strategic partnerships, and demand generation. The appointment positions Hansen to work closely with CEO and Co-founder Spenser Skates on scaling Amplitude’s market presence during a pivotal growth phase.

“Data-driven products have become the competitive differentiator for modern businesses, and Amplitude stands uniquely positioned to address the growth challenges facing product, technical, and customer organizations worldwide,” Hansen stated. Executive Track Record

Thomas Hansen arrives at Amplitude with a distinguished trajectory in the technology sector. Most recently, he served as Chief Revenue Officer at UiPath, where he orchestrated the company’s public market entry and helped it achieve nearly $1 billion in annual recurring revenue. Prior to that, Hansen held the Chief Operating Officer position at Carbon Black, guiding the organization through its IPO and subsequent acquisition by VMware.

His earlier career spans senior revenue leadership at Dropbox and 14 years in various executive capacities at Microsoft. Currently, Hansen serves on advisory boards for Dixa and Forter while maintaining an advisory relationship with Relational AI.

Market Recognition and Product Innovation

Amplitude’s timing with this leadership appointment aligns with the company’s expanding recognition in the analytics space.
