Lincoln Electric Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: LECO) has announced the appointment of N. Joy Falotico to its Board of Directors, effective February 19, 2025. This move marks a significant strengthening of the board’s expertise in financial and operational leadership as the welding solutions leader pursues its long-term growth agenda.
Falotico Brings Three Decades of Automotive and Financial Leadership
The newly appointed director brings formidable credentials shaped by a 33-year career at Ford Motor Company. Most recently, Falotico led Lincoln Motor Company—Ford’s luxury vehicle division—as President from 2018 through her 2022 retirement. Her professional trajectory spans multiple strategic domains: she previously held the role of Chief Marketing Officer, served as Group Vice President at Ford, and led Ford Motor Credit Company as Chair and Chief Executive Officer. These positions equipped her with deep commercial, regulatory, and operational acumen that now positions her as a valuable addition to Lincoln Electric’s governance structure.
Expanded Board Composition and Committee Roles
With Falotico’s election, Lincoln Electric’s Board expands to 12 directors, with 11 maintaining independent, non-employee status. She has been assigned to two key committees: the Audit Committee and the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. These assignments reflect the board’s intent to leverage her financial expertise and governance experience.
Steven B. Hedlund, Chair, President and Chief Executive Officer of Lincoln Electric, commented on the appointment: “Falotico’s global leadership background and commercial-financial expertise provide the Board with valuable perspective as we execute strategic initiatives aimed at sustainable, profitable expansion.”
Educational Foundation and Current Board Involvement
Falotico holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Truman State University and an MBA from DePaul University. Beyond her new role at Lincoln Electric, she currently serves on the boards of Alliant Energy (NASDAQ: LNT) and Lineage, Inc. (NASDAQ: LINE), demonstrating her continued engagement in corporate governance across diverse sectors.
