Erik Zhang also stated that, according to their recent phone communication agreement, Da Hongfei will focus on the development and operation of NeoX and SpoonOS starting from January 1, 2026, and will no longer participate in Neo mainnet affairs. In response, Da Hongfei posted that Erik Zhang controls the vast majority of Neo funds and leads consensus node voting, emphasizing that blockchain projects should not be controlled by a single individual. He revealed that he has been urging Erik for years to transfer NEO/GAS tokens from personal custody to NF’s multi-signature address, but Erik has repeatedly delayed. Da Hongfei stated that he previously avoided making this public to maintain public trust, but now his silence has been misunderstood, and he believes he should have acted earlier.
