Just cleaned out over 1,000 fake followers from my account. Pretty sure I'll need to do another sweep soon too. What gets me is—how do people manage to build genuinely engaged communities 2-3x our size without dealing with this same headache? Feels like there's gotta be some secret sauce I'm missing. 🤔

1000 fake followers, how exhausting. I totally understand this. The big guys probably never attracted fake followers from the start, some people really have that ability. Or they just don't care about this at all and ignore those inactive accounts. Actually, it's all about good content, no issues at all. There must be a secret weapon, but maybe it's more about luck? Cleaning up is really annoying, one time isn't enough.

Fake fans are everywhere; no one can avoid it. To be honest, big influencers are also buying followers, they just don't admit it. Quality > Quantity, that's the way to go. Cleaning followers too frequently might actually decrease engagement? Could it be a content issue rather than the followers' problem?
