As the year comes to an end, the global financial markets today have hit the pause button directly. Many exchanges have collectively closed early for the holiday, and this "early year-end departure" trend has put the entire financial industry into a shutdown mode.

Starting with Asia, the situation is most straightforward—Japan and South Korea's stock markets are closed all day, not leaving any trading hours; Australia is even more proactive, closing at 11:10 AM Beijing time, making it the most active "early quitter." Although the Hong Kong stock market didn't close all day, it also chose to close casually in the afternoon, with trading stopping between 12:08 and 12:10 in just a few minutes.

European markets are similar. Germany and Italy are completely closed all day, giving traders no room for thought; France, the UK, and Spain finished early between 8 and 9 PM, with precise timing down to the minute. For traders, this means the European session today is basically a formality.

Domestic futures exchanges are no exception. The Chinese futures market canceled night trading today, allowing those who monitor the markets to finally breathe a sigh of relief, no longer staying up late in front of screens.

The US stock market is relatively "dedicated," but it hasn't fallen behind either. US Treasury futures only maintain trading from 3 PM to 3:30 AM tomorrow, giving traders enough time to attend New Year’s Eve parties and events.

Ultimately, on the last day of 2025, the global financial markets are saying "goodbye" to the old year in this way. Early market closures instead allow participants to confidently celebrate the New Year without being bound by the trading screens. For cryptocurrency traders, this is also a reminder—confirm the trading hours of your exchange and tokens to avoid missing important market windows.

Taking a break together worldwide, what should we do in the crypto circle... Australia woke up early, is it okay to keep people from sleeping? Hmm, it's rare to have a normal sleep schedule, I accept it. The US stock market is still holding on, brother, showing some professional spirit. Good reminder, I need to check the trading hours for my small coins, so I don't miss the market opening and find the exchange closed. This holiday plan finally made the global markets think the same way. Wait, does this mean there won't be 24/7 uninterrupted trading on New Year's Eve? Oh my god, how are we supposed to survive? Anyway, it's a holiday, might as well not look at the charts, to avoid stress. No, isn't this a subtle way of telling us to keep an eye on exchange announcements?

Oh my god, everyone around the world is on holiday, but we in the crypto circle still have to stare at the screens. LOL By the way, with such an early market closure, will the price fluctuations be especially large... Finally, I can stop staying up all night. Thanks to the exchange for their understanding. With this rhythm, will there be a gap tomorrow? Feeling a bit anxious. The US stock market is not dedicated at all, it's just for the New Year's Eve party. Wait a minute, I need to check my exchange's schedule so I don't miss any important market movements. Europe closed so early, probably afraid traders will slack off haha. This feeling of Chinese New Year, the whole world is on holiday but I am still trading. Australia closed at 11 am, are they trying to see who is lazier? The crypto market never sleeps, is this our fate...

The whole world is on holiday, but the crypto circle never sleeps—that's our main stage. What does it matter if the market is closed in the morning? We're still watching those few trading pairs. Australia closed at 11? We're still placing crazy orders on our side. This wave of market movement is about to peak; it's time to withdraw. Traditional markets are on vacation, while we're staying up late to cut the leeks—truly awesome. Year-end sprint, you need to keep an eye on your exchange's timing, don't panic later. The US stock market persists until early morning—more resilient than Europe. Honestly, not having night trading sessions is really comfortable; finally, I can close my eyes and sleep. The entire market is flooding liquidity, just waiting for that wave of US stock funds to be released. Crypto exchanges simply don't care about this; our New Year’s Eve market is just getting started.
