Have you ever thought about it—DeFi lending, blockchain game interactions, NFT asset rights confirmation—these blockchain applications seem high-end, but at their core all point to the same weakness: how to get real-world data onto the chain.



There is a fundamental contradiction here. Blockchain is a self-consistent "digital island," it doesn't know real-time Bitcoin prices, real-world event results, nor can it accurately calculate the true value of your digital collectibles. Bridging this gap requires an intermediary to fetch data from the real world and feed it into on-chain logic. It sounds simple, but in reality, this is the most vulnerable part of the entire Web3 ecosystem—if this intermediary delivers false data, the entire chain's financial operations could be at risk of losing everything.

Conventional oracles are like couriers, transporting information from point A to point B as-is. But some projects are upgrading this model. For example, a recent project I saw takes a different approach: instead of just relaying data, it uses a distributed reconnaissance network to fetch data at the source, then applies strict verification processes on-chain. The result of this dual approach is—injecting fake prices? Almost impossible.

More importantly, this new generation of solutions is equipped with AI risk control modules. They can identify wash trading on exchanges, arbitrage traps set by "wool" traders, and even predict abnormal volatility. Before the data is fully on-chain, it has already been scanned by AI, and suspicious signals are directly intercepted.

The value of this logic lies in evolving from passive data transfer to active security guarding. For DeFi platforms, this means risk management shifts from backend handling to front-end prevention; for users, it ensures the authenticity of core parameters like collateral valuation and lending rates.
