“I sacrificed my entire life for you.”

“Look at the white hair on mom’s head, it’s all worry for you.”
“If it weren’t for you, I would have left this home long ago.”
Are these sentences the background music of your childhood? When love is priced, when giving becomes a high-interest loan that must be repaid in full—are we being nurtured, or are we signing a lifelong emotional debt that can never be fully paid?
If a parent’s love is supposed to be unconditional, then why do we always feel like it’s a stock option contract that requires a lifetime of performance to exchange? The first party of this contract is them, the second party is you, and the terms—always interpreted in favor of the first party.

Who规定了 that a child's “excellence” must be highlighted by their parents’ “suffering”? When a mother constantly emphasizes she gave up her career, and a father repeatedly highlights the humiliation he endured—are they motivating you, or are they showing you the medals on their chest, with the fine print behind the medals reading: “Recorded in your account”?

Guilt-tripping education, is it really education? Or a highly efficient form of emotional manipulation? Compared to cultivating independent personalities, is it better at producing batches of “excellent slaves” who are adept at reading between the lines, burdened with original sin, and always seeking “redemption”? Is our filial piety truly born from genuine love, or is it a survival instinct triggered by the fear of emotional breach and “cut-off” from support?
