Commercial rockets can now go public, that's awesome.
It's not because they can go public soon, but because for the first time, they officially admit one thing: Some things really require years of burning money first before they can succeed. People building commercial rockets, over the past few years, fear not failure, but rather that the path gets blocked before failure happens. Money keeps burning, technology slowly advances, but the capital market has been asking the same question: When will you make money? Now the rules are clear: As long as you're genuinely building rockets, not just making PPT presentations, not profitable yet, is no longer a death sentence in itself.
Of course, the risks haven't disappeared, rockets can still explode, tests can still fail. But that panic of "I'm running desperately forward, not knowing if there's an exit at the end" has been halved. This isn't an opportunity for instant wealth, but a message to everyone still persisting: This road, at least, is passable.
