Recently compiled some interesting data to see what price Bitcoin has been at during Christmas each year.

Starting from $666 in 2013, back then people were still hesitant to believe how far this digital currency could go. The following years saw quite significant fluctuations—dropping to $323 in 2014, a sharp cut; rebounding to $455 in 2015; rising to $899 in 2016, gaining some momentum.

The turning point was in 2017, when BTC soared to $13,926 on Christmas, opening many people's eyes. However, the bear market in 2018 was quite harsh, falling back to $4,079. The following years saw ups and downs—$7,323 in 2019, and $23,736 in 2020, breaking records.

In 2021, it reached $50,822, hitting an all-time high at the time, but was pulled back to $16,822 in 2022. The past two years have shown clear strength—recovering to $43,665 in 2023, and even surging to $94,120 in 2024, with a slight pullback to $87,340 near Christmas this year.

Overall, Bitcoin's performance during Christmas generally reflects the overall market trend of that year. From the data, long-term holders' returns are still quite substantial.

Damn, I actually missed the 13926 wave in 2017. Still regret it when I think about it now. 87340, that position still feels too high, usually there will be a correction at the end of the year. In 2021 at 50822, someone must have been trapped, and this rebound really showed the importance of holding coins. From 666 to 87000, more than a hundred times increase over ten years. Those who got in early really made a fortune. I remember clearly the bottom at 16822 in 2022. At that time, I thought it was going to zero. Looking at the historical data is satisfying, but if I had to hodl for ten years, I think my mental state would have already exploded. This year, it shot up to 94K and then dropped back to 87K. Feels like there's still room for more action. This data looks like a trick to lure me into the market. I don't believe it.
