The v2 token rush is getting ridiculous. Every day there's another project launching, promising the moon, hoping to grab quick liquidity from retail investors before disappearing. It's a grind—just pump, dump, and repeat. Most of these are straight-up garbage or outright scams. Realistically? Over 99% are vaporware or rugs waiting to happen. The market's flooded with this noise, and unless you're tracking on-chain metrics like whale movements and liquidity depth, you're basically gambling blind.

99% are garbage? I think that's still too optimistic.

99% are garbage, is this number serious? It feels like it needs to be revised down further.

The statement that 99% are garbage is too conservative; I think if there are 5% legitimate projects, we should be grateful.

The statement that 99% are rugs is too absolute, but my backtesting data shows that indeed 87% of projects experience liquidity depletion within 30 days after issuance... so essentially it's about the same.
On-chain data clearly shows that the entry timing of Whale addresses is often 3-5 hours ahead of public issuance, and we retail investors are doomed to be the last dumb buyers.
Every time I say I only look at the technical side and analyze calmly, I still end up FOMOing in, and that's the most magical part of the eye of the storm.
