Although it is a Bear Market, I have instead found a very comfortable state.

In the past, when the market was hot, my attention was constantly driven by information. Now that the market has cooled down and the noise has reduced, I can finally slow down a bit.

A bear market doesn't require daily sprints or jumping on every trend; instead, it is more suitable for doing things that yield the highest long-term returns – upgrading oneself.

So recently my desire to learn has been particularly strong: English and AI, I want to continue to add buffs on the existing foundation. Even because I've come across a lot of content discussing the history of the Ming Dynasty, I also want to catch up on those historical topics I was completely uninterested in before.

So I turned my attention to YouTube, watching the things I originally wanted to see in English, which made learning more interesting.
1) Find the videos you like
Turn to the topics you truly love watching, such as knowledge/travel/life, etc.
YouTube spoken language is more casual and closer to real expression.
It's okay if you don't understand in the beginning; just listening blindly can help sharpen your ears and gradually develop a natural reflex for intonation and connected speech.

2) Open the subtitle study content
Using English subtitles while listening and watching will greatly improve understanding efficiency.
Develop a fixed habit, such as 30 minutes every morning, and you will feel like you are not learning English, but rather learning knowledge in English.

3) Watch it repeatedly, from "understanding visually" to "understanding audibly"
Watch with subtitles once (familiarize yourself with the content)
Watch with subtitles once (test blind listening)
Watch the subtitles again (for error correction reference)
If you don't understand, just loop it, and you can also copy the subtitles to take notes/translate and analyze.

4) Read along
When watching videos, read along with the subtitles directly; the more you read, the better your pronunciation will naturally become.
After improving your pronunciation, you will speak English with more confidence.
If you can keep up, then do so; if you can't, that's okay. Just try your best to keep up every day, and you will improve.
You can also record audio on your phone and listen to the recording later to correct mistakes.

5) Insist on half an hour every day.
Watching content you like won't be painful, and you might even lose track of time.
Only by persisting every day will the effect of compound interest be produced.
