Do you really need talent and luck to make money in trading?

What is Talent?
In “Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils,” Qiao Feng uses simple Shaolin basic skills—Ancestor Long Fist—to fight against three high monks from Shaolin Temple,玄难 among them, demonstrating the destructive power of the Great Vajra Fist. The Dragon Capture Technique is even more unique in the martial world, having been practiced by no one for a hundred years. In Xingzi Forest, Wave Evil sighs: “There are actually people in this world who practice such divine skills.” The Great Wheel King Jiumozhi practices the Six Meridians Divine Sword, using head-tail switching and真假口诀 that can break through玄关, forging the Shaoze Sword, which makes Duan Yu unable to resist—truly a martial arts prodigy.

What is Luck?
On the way to Wanchou Valley, Duan Yu accidentally slips off a cliff into a cave. After kowtowing to the Fairy Sister, he finds two peerless martial arts manuals—Lingbo Weibu and Northern Mysterious Skill—and then gets swallowed by a toad immune to poison, cultivating a body that is invulnerable to toxins. Yu Tangzhi was originally a minor character, a passerby, who unexpectedly picks up a copy of the Yijin Jing during his journey of licking dogs, turning his life around. With the blessing of the Yijin Jing and unexpectedly obtaining Bingcan to forge Bingcan Poison Palm, he transforms from an insignificant licking dog into a well-known one, even having the chance to fight against protagonists like Qiao Feng with their halo of fame—truly bursting with luck.

These are all leading protagonist-type characters in Jin Yong’s martial world, to become such a person, either you are endowed with extraordinary talent or you have incredible luck.

However, in Jin Yong’s martial arts stories, not only these top-tier protagonists exist. If you can’t become Qiao Feng, Duan Yu, or Huang Yaoshi, you can also be the Seven True Men or the Seven South Ghouls.

But the Seven True Men and the Seven South Ghouls are also well-known figures in the martial world. Their status is not easily achieved. So, let’s take a step back—can we be Yin Zhiping or Zhao Zhijing?
Yin Zhiping and Zhao Zhijing are just mid-level monks of the Quanzhen Sect. If it weren’t for the Dragon Knight storyline, they wouldn’t have much screen time. Although they can’t defeat top experts like Yang Guo, fighting a bunch of low-level thugs like Zhang San and Li Si is no problem.

Taking a step further, if you don’t even have the confidence to be Yin Zhiping or Zhao Zhijing, then being Lu Qingdu is fine, right?
Most people probably don’t know Lu Qingdu. He is Zhao Zhijing’s disciple, the one who beat up young Yang Guo in “The Return of the Condor Heroes”—yes, just a kid fighter.

Someone like Lu Qingdu, who can only beat up kids, would be a typical big leek in the crypto trading world, right?
But calling Lu Qingdu a big leek is underestimating him. He is a disciple of the renowned Quanzhen Sect, and has learned the basic martial arts of the sect. Beating ten or eight street thugs on the street is not a problem.

In the crypto trading world, 90% of retail investors are weaker than street thugs. This circle has a low barrier to entry, giving people hope of sudden wealth, attracting many who are eager to succeed, overlapping highly with pyramid schemes.

So if you want to make money in the crypto world, you don’t need to reach the pinnacle of martial arts like the Five Absolute Masters. You only need to be like Lu Qingdu, follow a reputable sect, and learn a move or two.

So how to become Lu Qingdu?
Lu Qingdu is a low-level monk of the Quanzhen Sect, obviously lacking any martial talent and luck. He is an ordinary person who enjoys beating up kids. But what Lu Qingdu has learned is the orthodox martial arts of the Quanzhen Sect, one of the Five Absolute Schools, from the Zhong Shen Tong lineage, authentic and true.

Do most retail investors in the crypto circle seriously study anything?
They haven’t read a complete book. Some learn wave analysis from this analyst today, others learn MACD dragon-catching techniques tomorrow. Someone like that can make money in the crypto world? That would be a miracle.
Anyone who can calm down, study seriously, and practice an authentic玄门 martial art, and understand the essence of trading, may not become one of the Five Absolute Masters, but becoming like Lu Qingdu—beating a few thugs and earning a living—is not difficult at all.

Defeating the dog whales is hard; beating talented and lucky people is also hard. But defeating most retail investors is really easy. With the effort most people put in, it’s not even a matter of talent or luck.
When you encounter a bear in the forest with a group of people, you don’t need to run faster than the bear—just faster than most people.
