I've heard a very interesting point of view:

Buying the S&P 500 most likely makes money in the end, but that doesn't mean you understand investing — the key is whether you can stick to it consistently. Those who can persist actually already understand. Knowledge and action are inherently one.

This logic also applies perfectly to Bitcoin.

Many people enter BTC and ultimately make money. But making money doesn't mean understanding Bitcoin or this cycle. The real test is: can you avoid being left behind in a bear market? Can you go through multiple complete cycles and still hold?

Those who can withstand long-term volatility and truly practice a holding strategy have already proven through their actions that they really understand. The "understanding" here is not just theoretical knowledge, but a deep conviction in Bitcoin's value — this conviction comes from practice, which ultimately guides further practice.
