#DTCC Launches a pilot program for tokenized securities, following approval from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Chris Concanon, CEO of DTCC, stated: "These tokenized securities will enable us to connect traditional markets with blockchain technology, while maintaining full protection for investors."

Paul S. Atkins, Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, added: "A stock remains a stock whether it's a paper certificate, an entry in a DTCC account, or represented by a token on a public blockchain."

The pilot program includes liquid assets such as Russell 1000 index shares, major exchange-traded funds, and U.S. Treasury bonds, allowing participants to record their rights on approved blockchain ledgers.

The program is expected to launch in the second half of 2026, with quarterly reports submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
