Cardano Foundation welcomes a new CFO! On December 3, it was officially announced that Stephen Wood has joined and taken over the position of Chief Financial Officer.
Wood will mainly be responsible for several key areas: setting the financial strategic direction, overseeing financial processes to prevent errors, managing the funds pool, and risk control.
This new CFO is quite accomplished—he previously served as Finance Director at Copper.co and has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry. He has worked across both traditional finance and digital assets, holding executive positions at Verint and Keyko. Having someone who understands both old and new money is definitely the right fit for the Cardano Foundation.
Managing finances for a high-growth company is no easy task, especially in the complex environment of the crypto space. It seems Cardano is aiming to take its financial management to the next level.

Can a CFO without the CEO halo succeed? It feels like it's easy for a finance director who gets promoted to crash and burn.

He comes from Copper, this guy is indeed quite capable. But can a CFO really save ADA?
