These past couple of days, quite a few people in the community have been playing with a cyberpunk-style robot NFT. It looked pretty cool, so I did some research—it turns out it's the SLASH206 project by ASUS in collaboration with ROG, backed by ASUS's metaverse ecosystem.
They're offering a batch of free mints right now, and you just need to pay the on-chain transaction fee. I tried it out with a secondary account, and the gas fee was a little over $0.70—basically like opening a mystery box for fun. The cost is low anyway, so minting one to keep isn't a loss.

Asus is getting into NFTs—are they serious this time or just trying to cash in on the hype?

ASUS is releasing NFTs? Alright, I'll try to mint one too. After all, I won't feel bad even if it's just 70 cents.

ASUS farming? Bro, that's some serious move. Getting a robot blind box for free with just a 0.7 fee is really nice.

ASUS products are indeed something, but this kind of ecosystem NFT is often a scheme to fleece newcomers in the early stages. Still, trying out a blind box for just 0.7 yuan is okay—just treat it as entertainment.
