Last week saw some massive moves in crypto funding. CoinMENA dominated the charts, pulling in a whopping $240M for their centralized exchange expansion. Canton Network wasn't far behind with $50M raised for their Layer 1 infrastructure play.
The AI and DePIN sector heated up too—Gonka secured $50M to push their vision forward. Cross-chain infrastructure got love as well, with Portal landing $25M for their Bitcoin bridging solution and DEX ambitions.
Ostium Labs carved out $20M focusing on RWA perpetuals, showing institutional appetite for tokenized real-world assets remains strong. Fin also made the list, rounding out a solid week of capital deployment across multiple crypto verticals.
These funding rounds signal where smart money's flowing—CEXs expanding reach, Layer 1s building foundations, and RWA gaining serious traction.

They put in 240M, CoinMENA is really up to something big, Middle Eastern investors are truly on another level.
RWA is indeed attractive; institutions are entering so aggressively, it shows they really understand everything.
I’m optimistic about Portal’s Bitcoin cross-chain solution. It’s a bit of a shame they only raised 25M.

CEX fundraising is crazy but I'm still stuck in losses haha, there's definitely something going on with RWA.

CEXs are really raking in the money—$240m for Coinnema is just a bit outrageous... Meanwhile, RWA is quietly gaining traction, feels like the next wave of institutional money will all flow there.

$240m to CoinMENA? This funding round feels a bit... I don't really get it.
