Here comes this week's focus: what will the Fed do with rate cuts this time? We'll find out at 3 a.m. on Thursday. Can ETH ride this wave and reach a higher level? Does anyone have a prediction?
Keep a close eye on the timeline: inflation data comes out on December 9, which will directly set the tone for whether rates will be cut; the rate decision will be announced on December 11, revealing the suspense.
Right now, the market is generally betting on a 25 basis point cut—after all, recent US economic data hasn’t been great, plus some officials have been dropping dovish hints. But the problem is, there’s quite an internal debate at the Fed: the doves want to manage risks early, while the hawks are still worried inflation isn’t fully under control.
What’s really tricky is the path forward. The worry is that even if they do cut rates, they might simultaneously send some hawkish signals, capping the room for asset prices to rise. This “rate cut but not wholeheartedly” scenario is what really puts everyone to the test.

Cut by 25 basis points? Heh, these officials are going to play word games again, aren't they? Even if they do cut, I'm just worried they'll come out with some hawkish comments later and contradict themselves.

A 25 basis point cut has already been decided, right? What really matters are the hawkish signals that follow—looks like another round of retail investors getting fleeced.

Cut by 25 basis points? I bet the hawks are up to something again. Don’t be surprised if they talk about rate cuts but are actually thinking about rate hikes.

The 25bp cut has long been set in stone, the key is whether the hawks will pull any tricks.
Where ETH can go this round really depends on the Fed's stance, just hope they don't pull any "head fake" moves.
The real concern is if, after the rate decision, they just say "we'll continue to monitor going forward"—that would be awkward.

Cut by 25 basis points? I bet the hawks will be smug for a bit, just hope there’s no plunge afterward.
