Two major whales, each holding positions worth over $10 million, have been trading against each other, with the long-short standoff lasting for half a month.
On December 3, according to HyperInsight monitoring, since November 17, the “Long Altcoin Basket” whale (0xa2c) and since November 2, the “Altcoin Short Leader” whale (0xa31), who is shorting 22 tokens, have been trading against each other for half a month. Both whales have very similar token holdings, have not made significant portfolio adjustments recently, and their total position sizes are close. The current details of the two whales are as follows:
“Long Altcoin Basket” whale: Currently holds long positions in 20 altcoins, with overall unrealized losses narrowing from $4.9 million yesterday to $2.34 million, and a total position size of about $25.1 million. Currently, only FARTCOIN, SOL, and LINK have small unrealized gains totaling around $320,000.
“Altcoin Short Leader” whale: Currently holds short positions in 22 altcoins, with a position size of about $22.88 million. Currently, only HYPE and kBONK have small unrealized losses of about $160,000.
