The European Commission plans to take potential countermeasures against 95 billion euros worth of imported goods from the United States.

On May 8, the European Commission launched a public consultation on potential countermeasures in response to U.S. tariffs, planning to impose potential countermeasures on U.S. imports worth up to €95 billion. The proposed countermeasures will target U.S. airplanes, alcoholic beverages, fish, automobiles and auto parts, as well as U.S. chemicals, plastics, electrical equipment, health products, and machinery.
