The Ethereum Foundation Transferred 1,000 ETH to an Altcoin Project for Grant! - Coin Bulletin
The Ethereum Foundation made a transfer of 1,000 ETH to participate in decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols instead of selling.
The Ethereum Foundation transferred 1,000 Ethereum to the Gnosis Safe c wallet used to participate in the (ETH) DeFi ecosystem on April 11, 2025. This transaction indicates that the Ethereum Foundation continues to pursue a financial strategy aimed at generating income from DeFi protocols rather than making sales. The transferred 1,000 ETH is worth approximately 1.53 million dollars.
Ethereum Foundation’s DeFi Strategy
In the past period, it was noted that the Ethereum Foundation developed a strategy to participate in the DeFi ecosystem instead of selling. In previous transfers, the transfer of 50,000 ETH to multi-signature wallets stood out as one of the examples of this strategy.
Ethereum’s founder Vitalik Buterin has made statements supporting this approach and expressed to the community that the Ethereum Foundation should avoid selling by evaluating its assets in DeFi protocols.
Finally, this new transfer to the Ethereum Foundation’s Gnosis Safe wallet shows that it is accelerating its efforts to enhance its activity in the DeFi ecosystem.
According to CoinGecko data, Ethereum (ETH) is currently trading at 1,566 dollars.
