Picsart launches a creator monetization program! Can you still make money while playing with AI?

ChainNewsAbmedia

Global AI design platform Picsart recently announced the launch of a new creator monetization program, “Earn with Picsart.” As long as creators sign up and use Picsart to create video and audio content, then publish it on their own social platforms, Picsart will distribute earnings based on how hot the video and audio content is. Through this profit-sharing mechanism, Picsart hopes to break through in the fiercely competitive design software market.

Picsart launches a creator monetization program

Picsart was founded in 2011 and currently has more than 130 million users worldwide. The company reached unicorn status in 2021 during the boom of the creator economy. Founder and CEO Hovhannes Avoyan pointed out that there is a systemic problem in today’s creator economy: major platforms rarely offer ordinary creators fair compensation. To address this, Picsart has introduced an exclusive monetization program. After joining, creators can view current campaign instructions and creative challenges through a dedicated dashboard. As long as they follow the campaign requirements and use features built into Picsart—such as the AI editor, the background removal tool, or the AI assistant—to create original designs, they can participate in the program. Whether it’s making tutorial content, stylized edits, or short-form videos, creators can find room to showcase their strengths.

Earnings are calculated using engagement rate instead of follower count

Unlike traditional influencer marketing models that highly rely on follower numbers to determine fixed partnership fees, Picsart uses an “outcome-based” revenue-sharing standard. Creators only need to attach the specified tags to the content created using Picsart and share it to their personal social accounts. Monetization from the content is calculated based on views, comments, shares, and reach. Creators can track earnings directly on the dashboard.

This means that even if you’re not a large influencer with millions of followers, as long as your audience has high loyalty and strong engagement, your income potential can still be substantial. And all earnings can be withdrawn directly through the Stripe system.

A new revenue-sharing mechanism to break through with the creator ecosystem

Facing design giants like Canva and Adobe aggressively going after the market for professional designers and enterprise users, Picsart is turning a broad range of creators into brand ambassadors through a new revenue-sharing mechanism. It not only rewards them for using the latest AI editing features, but also encourages them to promote these features externally. At the same time, high-quality content and design produced by creators will, in turn, enrich Picsart’s content library, attracting more everyday users to pay for use.

No barriers to the program

There are no minimum follower requirements or restrictions to join the “Earn with Picsart” program, which is expected to provide more monetization channels beyond advertising and brand partnerships for more mid-sized and small creators. For general users, this change will also prompt more high-quality templates and stickers that align with social trends to emerge on the Picsart platform, further enhancing the overall design experience.
