Gate News update, April 2, an AI hardware operating system company, Unbounded Ark, has recently completed two consecutive Pre-A funding rounds. Investors include well-known global wearable device brand Shokz, Guoruiyuan Fund, Hengsong Capital, and the Shanghai Angel Association. Yikai Capital serves as the exclusive financial advisor. Within the past year, the company has already completed four funding rounds in total, with financing amounts in the hundreds of millions of RMB. Unbounded Ark’s core product is the AI operating system EVA OS, positioned as a “hardware version of OpenClaw.” In essence, it is an Agent framework that runs on the device edge, supporting multiple types of terminal devices such as robots, earbuds, and smart glasses. Developers only need to describe their requirements in natural language, and EVA OS can independently handle program writing, driver debugging, and application deployment, with an average turnaround time of about half an hour—significantly improving efficiency compared with traditional approaches (3 people, 2–3 months). EVA OS uses a cloud-and-local collaborative architecture: voice latency is below 250ms, and multimodal feedback is below 350ms, outperforming industry common solutions by about 600ms. Its proprietary end-to-end model reduces voice costs to one-twentieth of the industry common solution, and perceptual model costs can be reduced by 70%–92%. As of now, since EVA OS 1.0 was released three months ago, more than 2,500 enterprises and research and development units have connected, covering multiple categories including AI earbuds, AI smart glasses, desktop robots, and robotic arms.
