Alipay has officially released China’s first “Payment Integration Skill,” packaging previously complex payment capabilities into standardized modules. This allows developers to integrate payment functionality through natural language, significantly lowering the development barrier. Developers can complete payment integration in just three steps, using AI and natural language to greatly simplify the process.
Payment Package Launches “Payment Integration Skill”
In the past, if developers wanted to introduce payment functionality into an app, they typically had to go through a tedious process, including API integration, parameter configuration, security verification, and multiple rounds of testing. This not only consumed time but also raised the technical threshold. The “Payment Integration Skill” launched by Alipay is, at its core, a productization and modularization of payment capabilities, further combined with an AI development workflow—turning payment integration from an engineering problem into a semantic description problem.
According to the official explanation, under the “Vibe Coding” development mode, developers only need three steps to complete payment integration: first, download the “Alipay Payment Integration Skill,” then complete the installation in the development tool, and finally describe the receiving-amount requirements in natural language, after which the AI automatically handles the subsequent integration. For example, if a developer inputs something like “Help me integrate Alipay payment. I want to build a minimalist shopping application with a price of 10 yuan for a cat scratcher board, and pay directly on the product page,” the system can generate the corresponding payment flow and logic.
What Is Alipay Skill? Developers Can Combine It Into Systems Like OpenClaw
As for the so-called “Skill,” in essence it is a modular capability that encapsulates a specific function for repeatable calls. Developers do not need to write the complete program logic from scratch; they simply call the corresponding Skill to quickly integrate the specific functionality. For example, in systems like Claude Code or OpenClaw, the model doesn’t just generate code—it can, based on the needs, independently select and connect different Skills to accomplish real tasks.
In other words, payments are no longer just APIs, but a capability that an Agent can directly “use.” When developers describe in natural language something like “build an app that can accept payments,” AI will not only generate the frontend and backend logic, but can also automatically call the payment Skill to complete the entire process from product display to payment collection.
As core capabilities like payment, search, and data access are skill-ified and incorporated into Agent orchestration, future applications will feel more like a set of “services assembled on the fly,” rather than traditional static apps. This means more micro-products built quickly by individuals or small teams will emerge—such as e-commerce pages generated instantly, AI-driven content monetization tools, and even transaction scenarios that can be dynamically generated according to user needs.
Alipay Official Payment Skill Goes Live, Bringing It to the MoDa Community Skills Center
This development approach—shifting from “writing code” to “describing requirements”—is seen as an important change in the paradigm of AI development. It also means that in the future, more people who aren’t professional engineers, and even content creators and individual developers, can quickly build applications with commercial capabilities.
At present, the “Payment Integration Skill” has already been officially launched in the MoDa community’s Skills center, and it is fully open for developers using the Vibe Coding mode to try it out. The market broadly believes that this move will not only accelerate the commercial adoption of AI applications, but may also further change how the payments industry is integrated—making “payment receiving capability” become a basic infrastructure that is as plug-and-play as cloud services.
