Gate News reports that on March 27, 70-year-old individual investor Kim Geo-seok donated 100,000 XRP to Seoul National University Hospital on March 26. Based on that day’s price, the donation was approximately 210 million KRW (about $140,000). This is his second cryptocurrency donation to the hospital, following his donation of 1 Bitcoin in November last year. Previously, he also donated 900 million KRW in cash to Seoul National University Hospital, bringing his total cumulative donations, including cryptocurrencies, to about 1.27 billion KRW (approximately $850,000). The investor has long been interested in cutting-edge fields such as virtual assets, AI, and quantum computing, and has continued donating crypto assets to organizations such as Love Fruit, the Korean Red Cross, and others. The hospital stated that it will convert the donated cryptocurrencies into cash according to relevant guidelines and use the proceeds for the Hospital Development Fund and the Children’s Hospital Development Fund.
