[US SEC and CEX Reach Principled Resolution on CEX Earn Lawsuit] The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has reached a "principled resolution" with CEX regarding the years-long lawsuit over the CEX Earn encryption lending program, pending final approval from the SEC. The SEC had sued CEX and Genesis Global Capital in 2023, accusing them of offering unregistered securities to retail investors. CEX was established in 2014 and recently raised $425 million in its IPO on Nasdaq.
