The United States plans to use energy cooperation to win over Russia in hopes of promoting a Russia-Ukraine peace protocol.
According to a report by Jinse Finance, informed sources have revealed that the Trump administration views cooperation in the Russian energy sector as one of the key economic incentives to gain the Kremlin's support while pushing for an agreement to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The sources indicated that the proposed peace agreement from the U.S. side may include joint projects in the Arctic region, as well as cooperation in oil, gas, and rare earth minerals.
