The total average cost of producing a Bitcoin for publicly listed companies has soared to 137,018 dollars.

CoinShares reported that in the fourth quarter of 2024, the weighted average cash cost for publicly listed miners to produce one Bitcoin increased from $55,950 in the third quarter to approximately $82,162, a rise of 47%. The average cost was $75,767, with a quarter-on-quarter increase of 35%, and most Mining Rigs remained profitable. However, when accounting for non-cash costs such as depreciation and stock-based compensation, the total average cost soared to $137,018.
