USDC and CCTP V2 officially operate on the XDC Network
USDC, the fully-backed stablecoin from Circle, has officially launched on the XDC Network along with Circle's Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol V2 (CCTP V2). This integration allows developers and businesses on the XDC network to use USDC for applications such as tokenized trade finance, tokenization of real assets, and B2B payments.
The regulated infrastructure of USDC provides near-instant transactions with low fees, making it ideal for DeFi protocols. The launch of CCTP V2 allows for the transfer of USDC across 15 blockchains without the need for wrapped tokens.
This is a step to strengthen the XDC ecosystem, with partners such as Fireblocks and SBI XDC APAC, while connecting to over 175 applications. As of mid-September 2025, USDC has over 72.5 billion USD in circulation across 26 supported blockchains.
