Abstract generation in progress

Tether, one of the largest companies in the crypto space, is bringing its largest stablecoin, USDT, to the Bitcoin network. According to a statement made on the company's official website, USDT can also be transferred to the Bitcoin network via the RGB protocol. Launched in 2019, RGB is known as an open-source protocol aimed at enabling smart contracts and asset issuance on Bitcoin.

RGB aims to make Bitcoin not only a store of value but also an infrastructure that allows asset issuance, scalability, and privacy.

Offline transfer will also be possible

With this new move by Tether, USDT will now be able to work directly on the Bitcoin network. Users will be able to hold both Bitcoin and USDT in the same wallet. Additionally, offline transfers without internet will also be possible.

Speaking on the subject, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino stated, "Bitcoin deserved a lightweight, privacy-focused, and scalable stable coin. This integration will be an important step that offers us a freer future."
