NFT platform Zora will give away 1 billion ZORA meme tokens
NFT platform and protocol for tokenizing Zora assets will give away 1 billion Zora meme tokens (ZORA) to airdrop participants.
In the spring of 2025, the Zora project team plans to release a native cryptocurrency on the Base network with a circulating supply of 10 billion coins. To commemorate this event, the platform will organize an airdrop and allocate 10% of memecoins for its implementation. Another 20% of the assets will be distributed among members of the crypto community in the form of grants and rewards for various achievements, such as winning a hackathon.
Distribution scheme of the cryptocurrency Zora
On March 3, project members preserved information about the creators of digital assets, collectors, developers, and other individuals who contributed to the development of Zora. They will receive ZORA tokens during the airdrop. The rest of the promo participants will be determined three days before the cryptocurrency is released. To be eligible for meme coins, you need to register in the Zora app and start creating tokens, as well as trading them.
The Zora balance will hold 65% of the ZORA coins, which will gradually be unfrozen over 36-48 months. Obviously, this will help reduce the pressure on the cryptocurrency rate and protect it from a strong dump. The new digital asset will be classified as a meme token and will be created purely for entertainment. Therefore, ZORA owners will not be allowed to influence the project's operation through voting and encroach on the startup's property.
