Wormhole Foundation: FEGToken issue is unrelated to Wormhole
BlockBeats news, on December 31, the Wormhole Foundation stated on social media that the FEG Token issue is not related to Wormhole. All Wormhole contracts are completely unaffected by this issue and are not related to it. Earlier, BlockBeats reported that on December 29, the multi-chain Decentralized Finance protocol FEG (Feed Every Gorilla) announced on the X platform that FEGrox is actively investigating irregular transactions and has asked PeckShield for additional support to find the root cause. Preliminary investigations show that there may be a vulnerability in the Wormhole bridge, which has been audited before. It is important to emphasize that the Smart Decentralized Finance contract code does not seem to have been compromised, and the Smart Decentralized Finance protocol has been temporarily suspended as a precautionary measure. Projects built on this protocol are still secure at the moment.
