The Canton Fair Promotion Conference is held in South Korea.

The China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) Promotion Conference was held in Seoul, South Korea, on the 19th. Nearly 200 representatives from Korean companies, business associations, and Chinese-funded enterprises in Korea attended to discuss new opportunities for China–Korea economic and trade cooperation amid the global economic situation.

Wang Zhilin, Minister-Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Korea, said that China and Korea have close economic ties, with their supply chains deeply intertwined. In 2025, Korea will have more than 17,000 purchasers participating in the 137th and 138th Canton Fairs, up 14% year on year.

Ma Fengmin, Deputy Director of the China Foreign Trade Centre, said that the 139th Canton Fair’s exhibition scale and the quality of participating exhibitors will reach new highs. It will focus on showcasing China’s latest innovative achievements, providing a platform for technological exchanges, industrial collaboration, and innovation cooperation between China and Korea, helping both countries build more stable, efficient, and resilient industrial and supply chains.

Min Xian-zhi, Secretary-General of the Seoul E-commerce Association, said that against the backdrop of global supply chain adjustments, the Canton Fair is an important platform for promoting exchange and cooperation among enterprises worldwide. Through the Canton Fair, Korean companies can learn about new trends in the development of global goods and industries, creating opportunities to expand business opportunities and enhance competitiveness.

The 139th Canton Fair will open on April 15, attracting more than 30,000 companies to participate. ( Xinhua News Agency )
