No pollutant leaks occurred at the petrochemical plant attacked in southwestern Iran

A reporter from the main station learned from Iranian sources on April 8, local time, that there had been no material or pollutant leaks at the Amir Kabir Petrochemical Plant in Khuzestan Province in Iran’s southwest, where an attack had previously taken place. The situation has been brought under control and poses no danger to nearby cities. On the 7th, the Amir Kabir Petrochemical Plant was hit by airstrikes by the United States and Israel, and some facilities at the plant were damaged. The plant is located within the Mahshahr Petrochemical Economic Zone and is one of Iran’s important polymer production bases. (CCTV News)
