Where to place your stop ? ( educational )
A common question when entering someone else’s idea or even for those who analyze the market with me
Below are the strategies that actually work
Most people know how to “find setups” -the problem starts after the entry
Types of stops:
1. technical - behind a level / liquidity / OB
2. RR-based - fixed risk (e.g. 1–2%)
3. structural - where your idea is invalidated ( best one)
Main rule:
your stop = point where your idea is no longer valid
not “somewhere convenient”
When to move to BE:
after price reacts and moves in your direction and you don’t want to give back risk
IMPORTANT - if you’re already in profit and news is coming, move to BE
When to close manually:
1. an opposite setup appears
2. no continuation after the impulse
profit comes from the strategy
but money is saved by your stop
you can read the market perfectly, but a bad stop will cost you hundreds of trades ngl
inside NETWORK you can ask mentors to review your trades and your stops as well
you know where to join
