So recently, I've been noticing an interesting trend in the crypto market. Tokenization of real-world assets or RWA is starting to explode, and the most exciting part is the movement from institutional players who are leading here.
In the past, retail traders were the pioneers in crypto; now, it's the opposite. Institutional players are beginning to enter RWA more seriously. They're not just speculating but actually building infrastructure and ecosystems for tokenizing real-world assets. This isn't just a temporary hype but a serious structural change.
What’s interesting is that this institutional momentum seems to be a catalyst for retail to follow suit. If institutional players are confident in RWA, retail investors will definitely join with more confidence. This could be a significant inflection point for adoption.
What we're seeing now is an exploration phase where various institutions are experimenting with tokenizing different types of assets. Real estate, bonds, commodities—all are starting to be explored. And as this momentum develops, retail participation is sure to increase.
In my opinion, this phase will lay the foundation for the next wave of adoption. Once institutional adoption is solid, retail will feel more comfortable entering. And importantly, the infrastructure built by institutions now will make it easier for retail in the future. So, this isn’t just about institutional hype but about building a proper ecosystem for RWA that is sustainable.
