Watching my transaction queue in the mempool for the fourth time, I feel a bit helpless but also somewhat relieved... When the network is congested, that moment you send out your transaction is actually just "entering the waiting room." Miners/packagers will prioritize those who pay higher tips/fees. If you pay less, you'll slowly wait, and if it takes too long, you might even get stuck on the nonce. All subsequent transfers get clogged together, and seeing a row of pending transactions in my wallet triggers my OCD. The community has been arguing these days whether the extreme fee rate is about to reverse or if the bubble will continue to be squeezed. My experience is: when the chain is congested, emotions become more tense, and the more anxious you are, the easier it is to impulsively add more fees or resend transactions. Anyway, I start with small amounts to test the waters, confirm first, then proceed with larger transactions. I also glance at the authorization to avoid rushing and losing my keychain.
