On March 13, according to a Mysteel survey of 31 domestic copper rod producers and 6 traders, the order volume for copper rods that day was 1.37 million tons, up 0.18 million tons from the previous trading day, representing a 15.19% increase month-over-month. Of this, the order volume for refined copper rods was 1.25 million tons, up 0.23 million tons from the previous trading day, representing a 22.37% increase month-over-month. This week (03.09–03.13), total transactions for refined copper rods were 5.57 million tons, down 0.73 million tons from last week’s total transactions of 6.3 million tons, representing an 11.52% month-over-month decrease. The order volume for recycled copper rods was 0.11 million tons, down 0.05 million tons from the previous trading day, representing a 30.36% month-over-month decrease; the actual transaction prices were 100,400–100,500 yuan/ton for self-pickup and 100,500–100,600 yuan/ton for delivery. This week, total transactions for recycled copper rods were 0.92 million tons, up 0.10 million tons from last week’s total transactions of 0.82 million tons, representing an 11.68% month-over-month increase.
