Strategy increased its Bitcoin reserve to 780,800 BTC after a new deal

The company purchased 13,927 BTC approximately worth $1 billion, using funds obtained from the STRC share placement. After the deal was completed, the total amount of Bitcoin on Strategy's balance sheet reached nearly 781,000 BTC, maintaining its status as the largest public corporate holder of the first cryptocurrency.
The average price of the new deal was $71 902 per 1 BTC. At the same time, the average cost of the company's entire accumulated portfolio increased to $75 577 per coin. Since 2026 began, Strategy has already acquired over 107,000 BTC, continuing to use market fluctuations to grow its position.
The deal was financed by the sale of 10 million STRC shares, which brought in about $1 billion. Market estimates suggest this placement became the second-largest weekly offering of this instrument in history. Interest in STRC increased after the company revised the sale terms in March, making the capital raising mechanism more flexible.
The new purchase occurred amid quite weak financial reporting. For the first quarter of 2026, Strategy reported unrealized losses of $14.46 billion, related to the revaluation of digital reserves after the Bitcoin price decline. Despite this, the company did not change its long-term approach and continued accumulating BTC.
